L J <br />Performs minor plan review for non-structural building and zoning permits to <br />ensure compliance with the applicable Codes and issues non-structural buitdin <br />permitsLzonina permits, plumbing permits and mechanical permits as <br />appropriate. <br />• Notifies residents/property owners who are performing building or construction <br />work without a permit to ensure required permits are obtained and appropriate <br />fees are collected. Informs appropriate City Staff of those residents/property. <br />• Maintains, coordinates and processes City contractor and multiple-family <br />registration license files and ensures that renewals are completed as required by <br />City ordinances. <br />• Assists with the scheduling of a~~-e~iles annual housing inspections and <br />ensures that owners and/or managers are notified in writing of the date and time <br />of the inspection and processes violation reports as required by ordinances. <br />• Assists in setting up and maintaining an orderly filing systems for a variety of <br />records and correspondence to ensure prompt retrieval of information as <br />required or needed. <br />• Maintain accurate City records according to City's retention schedule <br />assuring that boxes are labeled for storage and disposed of as necessary. <br />• Assists in maintaining complete and accurate address files, Planning <br />• Commission minutes, Planning Commission Resolutions, building permit and all <br />other permit records, planning applications and other fifes and necessary. <br />• Provides counter coverage to assist customers with building, zoning, planning, <br />engineering, or housing inspection requests and answers other general <br />questions related to the City. Uses designated computer software to retrieve <br />property information to answer public inquiries. Determines fees as appropriate <br />and properly receipts all monies received. <br />® Answers community development phone tines and responds to voice mail <br />messages, department facsimiles and community development electronic <br />mail on an on-going basis. <br />• Assists community development staff with computer-based applications <br />• Schedules building and housing inspections as needed. <br />• Assists in compiling and distributing Planning Commission packets to <br />Commission members, staff, applicants, and interested parties to ensure all are <br />informed of items to be reviewed at scheduled meetings. <br />• Prepares, publishes and mails public hearing legal notices according to <br />established procedures to ensure affected and impacted residents and <br />property owners +es are informed of City Council and Planning Commission <br />hearings and meetings. Creates location maps identifying the no+~-~e~ <br />• appropriate mailing areas and creates lists of affected property owners for public <br />
