MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES <br />Wipe desk chair carpet protectors • <br />Spot clean carpet as necessary <br />Wash entry way and glass completely <br />SEMI-ANNUAL RESPONSIBILITIES <br />Wipe restroom walls floor to ceiling <br />Vacuum all drapery <br />• Clean all exterior glass (April and October) <br />• Vacuum all heating/air conditioning grills <br />• Clean carpet <br />• Take down blinds and wash with soap and water <br />GENERAL CONDITIONS <br />Obtains and maintains necessary custodial supplies and equipment and notifies supervisor of <br />needed items <br />I. Mows grass, trims shrubs, shovels and plows snow <br />II. Performs minor repairs, including carpenter repair work, painting and plumbing repairs. <br />lll. Monitors general condition of the building, facilities and equipment and notifies supervisor of <br />such items needing repair or replacement. Performs preventive and routine maintenance of <br />such items and may make minor repairs and/or take corrective action as necessary. <br />IV. Performs other duties as assigned. • <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br />Graduation from high school or GED. <br />One (1) year experience as a part-time or full-time custodian. <br />Physically able to perform job duties. <br />DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS <br />• Valid Minnesota Drivers License. <br />• Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision. <br />• Ability to follow oral and written communication. <br />• Ability to be tactful and courteous in dealing with public or staff while performing duties. <br />• Knowledge of and ability to use hand and electric tools. <br />• Experience with purchasing custodial supplies. <br />PHYSICAL DEMANDS <br />The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee <br />to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
