Mounds View City Council May 13, 2013 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane stated ABC Liquor has not submitted their off-sale <br />intoxicating liquor license application paperwork or fees. Staff noted the paperwork deadline <br />was May 8, 2013. She has attempted to contact representatives from ABC Liquor and has not <br />been successful. For this reason, Staff recommended the public hearing be continued to the May <br />28, 2013 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:27 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. To Continue the Public Hearing on the Off-Sale Intoxicating <br />Liquor License for ABC Liquor to the May 28, 2013 City Council Meeting. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />2. Resolution 8097, a Resolution to Consider Approval of an Off-Sale <br />Intoxicating Liquor License for Big Top Liquor, located at 2577 County <br />Highway 10. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane stated that Big Top Liquor has submitted all necessary <br />paperwork and fees for their off-sale intoxicating liquor license. She noted property taxes and <br />utilities were current for this property. She indicated the liquor license approval would be <br />contingent upon a satisfactory criminal background check, liquor compliance check and fire <br />inspection. She stated the off-sale intoxicating liquor license would be in effect from July 1, <br />2013 to June 30, 2014. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:28 p.m. <br /> <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:28 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8097, <br />a Resolution to Consider Approval of an Off-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for Big Top <br />Liquor, located at 2577 County Highway 10 contingent upon a satisfactory criminal background <br />check, liquor compliance check and fire inspection. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. Resolution 8098, a Resolution to Consider Approval of an Off-Sale <br />Intoxicating Liquor License for Vino & Stogies, located at 2345 County <br />Road H2. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane stated that Vino & Stogies has submitted all necessary <br />paperwork and fees for their off-sale intoxicating liquor license. She noted property taxes were <br />delinquent at this time. A payment plan was being worked out with Ramsey County. She <br />indicated the liquor license approval would be contingent upon a satisfactory criminal <br />background check, liquor compliance check, fire inspection and that a payment plan submitted to <br />the City for the outstanding property taxes no later than Friday, June 14, 2013.
