September 26, 2016, City Council Meeting Minutes. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause requested a correction on Page 8, Line 31, eliminating the word <br />“reviewed”. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Mueller requested a correction on Page 2, Line 15, changing the word “members” <br />to “owners”. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated the Mounds View Lions Annual Spaghetti Dinner would be <br />held on Thursday, October 13th from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the VFW Post 6587 in Spring Lake <br />Park. Tickets for this event will be $9.50. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported he would be attending the NSCC meeting for Mayor <br />Flaherty and three meetings over the coming weeks for NYFS. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Mueller was happy to report that a number of employees at Big Top Liquor were <br />able to keep their jobs after the business was sold to a new owner. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Mueller commented on the great success of the Festival in the Park Fall Craft Fair. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Mueller stated the Blaine-Spring Lake Park-Mounds View Fire Department’s <br />Open House at Fire Station No. 1 on Saturday, October 8th was well attended. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Mueller noted she would be attending a League of Minnesota Cities meeting on <br />Monday, October 17th. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Mueller explained absentee voting would begin at City Hall on Monday, October <br />24th. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Mueller discussed the Candidate Forum that was held last Tuesday and <br />encouraged the public who were unable to attend this event to view it on the City’s website.
