Resolution 8583, Approving the Uniform State Wide Contract for <br />Cogeneration and Small Power Production Facilities as part of the Energy <br />Savings Partnership (ESP) program for the Community Center and City <br />Hall. <br /> <br />Public Works Supervisor Peterson requested the Council approve the uniform State wide <br />contractor for cogeneration and small power production facilities as part of the Energy Savings <br />Partnership (ESP) program for the Community Center and City Hall. He explained this contract <br />would allow the City to hook up its solar panels to Xcel Energy’s power grid. Staff discussed the <br />contract rates in further detail with the Council and recommended approval. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller requested a minor change to the language on the Resolution <br />eliminating the first “further”. She asked how the liability insurance coverage amount was <br />determined. Public Works Supervisor Peterson indicated this amount was determined by Xcel <br />Energy. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty requested further information on how the solar panels will work. Public Works <br />Supervisor Peterson described how the solar panels will turn sunlight into energy for the <br />Community Center and City Hall. It was noted the energy would either be used by the City or be <br />pushed back out into the grid. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8583, <br />Approving the Uniform State Wide Contract for Cogeneration and Small Power Production <br />Facilities as part of the Energy Savings Partnership (ESP) program for the Community Center <br />and City Hall. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause thanked Public Works Supervisor Peterson for all of his efforts on <br />this project. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />8. CONSENT AGENDA <br />A. Set a Public Hearing for Monday, June 13, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., to Consider <br />the Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 918, an Ordinance naming <br />that Section of County Road 10 in the City of Mounds View to “Mounds <br />View Boulevard”. <br />B. Set a Public Hearing for Monday, June 13, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., to Consider a <br />Residential Kennel License for Meridith Grosse located at 7985 Fairchild <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull.
