Mounds View City Council June 13, 2016 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty agreed and believed Ms. Grosse was a reasonable person. She encouraged her to <br />be in communication with her neighbors. <br /> <br />Colleen Miller, 7980 Fairchild Avenue, stated she has lived at her home for the past 20 years. <br />She attested to the fact that Ms. Grosse’s dogs are not barking as was stating within the <br />complaint. She indicated there were other dogs barking in the neighborhood. She supported Ms. <br />Grosse having a kennel license and be allowed to keep her three dogs. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8591, a <br />Resolution to Consider a Residential Kennel License for Meridith Grosse Located at 7985 <br />Fairchild Avenue. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he would be supporting this request but noted it had been a <br />difficult decision for him. He appreciated Ms. Grosse’s being present and providing comments <br />this evening. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />A. 7:00 p.m., Public Hearing: Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 918, <br />an Ordinance Naming that Section of County Road 10 in the City of Mounds <br />View to “Mounds View Boulevard” (ROLL CALL VOTE). <br /> <br />City Administrator Ericson discussed the history of County Highway 10 and explained the <br />Council heard the first reading for Ordinance 918 at their May 23rd meeting. He noted Ramsey <br />County and MnDOT would be replacing the signs along I-35W and on County Road 10 at no <br />cost to the City. He reported local signs could be replaced as soon as possible and MnDOT <br />would replace signs over the next few years when completing projects along I-35W. He stated it <br />would take several years for all of the signs to be replaced. He requested the Council hold a <br />public hearing and adopt Ordinance 918 renaming that section of County Road 10 in Mounds <br />View to “Mounds View Boulevard”. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn asked if staff reached out to the post office. City Administrator Ericson <br />explained staff had spoken to the post office and they would continue to deliver mail to both <br />street addresses. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:35 p.m. <br /> <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:35 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn.
