Resolution 8613, Approve Replacement of Two Existing Hydrants on County <br />Road H in Conjunction with Ramsey County’s Project. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Erickson requested the Council approve the replacement of two existing <br />hydrants on County Road H, near Mounds View Boulevard. He explained these two hydrants <br />were in the pavement that was being replaced by Ramsey County and would have to be moved. <br />He understood this was an oversight by the County Engineer. He indicated the moving of the <br />hydrants would be covered by the County and the hydrant expense would be the responsibility of <br />the City. Staff reviewed the estimated expense and recommended approval of the project. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty questioned where the hydrants were at this time. Public Works Director <br />Erickson described the location of the hydrants. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty asked how far the hydrants would be moved. Public Works Director Erickson <br />estimated the hydrants would be moved approximately 10 to 20 feet to the west. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8613, <br />Approve Replacement of Two Existing Hydrants on County Road H in Conjunction with <br />Ramsey County’s Project. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause thanked staff for the thorough staff report and for noting how the <br />expense would be covered within the 2016 budget. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />I. Resolution 8614, Approve Replacement of Driveway and Sidewalk at 3009 <br />County Road H. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Erickson requested the Council approve the replacement of the driveway <br />and sidewalk at 3009 County Road H. He explained the replacement was being proposed <br />because the existing sidewalk was graded and draining towards the property. It was noted the <br />new driveway and sidewalk would drain away from the property. Staff recommended the <br />Council approve the repair and that the project be funded out of the Street Improvement Fund. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty asked if the entire driveway would be replaced. Public Works Director Erickson <br />reported the entire width of the driveway would be replaced from the street to one panel past the <br />sidewalk. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause.
