APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> A. Monday, July 14, 2014, City Council Agenda. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Approve the Monday, July 14, 2014, agenda as <br />presented. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. PUBLIC INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />6. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS <br /> A. Presentation of Annual Report by Fire Chief Nyle Zikmund, Spring Lake <br />Park – Blaine – Mounds View Fire Department. <br /> <br />Fire Chief Zikmund reviewed the annual report for the Spring Lake Park-Blaine-Mounds View <br />Fire Department in detail with the Council. He explained there would be a gap in the <br />department’s recruitment grant and the department would have to reapply for the federal grant in <br />the near future. He discussed the high level of staffing within the department. He presented the <br />Council with a challenge coin that was unique to the Spring Lake Park-Blaine-Mounds View <br />department. He then reviewed the risk assessment and preventative measures (19 total programs) <br />the Fire Department has pursued to reduce the risk of fire and injury in the community. He <br />commented 150 third graders recently attended a safety camp. <br />
