To Approve the Monday, July 28, 2014, agenda as <br />presented. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. PUBLIC INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />6. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS <br /> A. Presentation from Carol Jackson, Manager of the Mounds View Branch <br />Ramsey County Library <br /> <br />Carol Jackson, Mounds View Library Branch Manager, provided the Council with an update on <br />the libraries activities as part of the Ramsey County Library system. She reviewed the mission <br />and vision statement for the library, along with its initiatives. She discussed how e-readers were <br />changing book circulation within the library, and noted there was a strong push for early literacy. <br />The number of library visits for 2013 and 2014 were reviewed, along with the programs offered <br />to both adults and children. She explained the renovations that were completed in August 2013 <br />and encouraged the public to stop in for a visit. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause was pleased with the programs and literature available at the <br />Mounds View Library.
