JUST AND CORRECT CLAIMS <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer answered the Council's questions related to claims. <br /> <br />Council Member Hull excused himself from the Council Chambers. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Gunn. To Approve the Just and Correct Claims as presented. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />10. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />11. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller encouraged all Mounds View residents to take part in National Night <br />Out on August 5, 2014. She thanked the Police Department for participating in these events. <br /> <br />Council Member Hull returned to the Council Chambers. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller indicated the Festival in the Park Committee would meet again on July <br />29, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. She provided comment on the car show and numerous other <br />events planned for this year’s festival. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller discussed the Local Economies Committee she was serving on for the <br />League of Minnesota Cities along with the issues this group would be addressing. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported Twin Cities Gateway met last week at the Mounds View <br />Community Center. He was pleased to report that member cities continued to show positive <br />increased hotel revenues over last year. He explained he had a discussion with Steve Markuson <br />(Twin Cities Gateway), the YMCA and staff about further promoting the Mounds View <br />Community Center. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he attended his first Northeast Youth and Family Services <br />meeting last week where the group discussed finances. He explained there was a shortfall in <br />mental health services.
