Project Coordinator Stenglein believed that both Public Works Director DeBar and Public Works Supervisor Peterson had worked with Allied Blacktop in the past. Council Member Mueller requested that contractor avoid working on any trails near Festival in the Park on August 16th. MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8289, Approving a Construction Contract with Allied Blacktop Company for the 2014 Trails & Parking Lot Pavement Maintenance Project. Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 8. CONSENT AGENDA Council Member Meehlhause asked to remove Item 8A. A. Resolution 8290, Approving Blake Downes to the Streets and Utilities Committee. B. Schedule a Public Hearing for Monday, September 8, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. to Approve the 2015 Fee Schedule. MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Approve the Consent Agenda as amended. Council Member Meehlhause thanked Mr. Downes for volunteering to serve on the Streets and Utilities Committee. He complimented Mr. Downes on the thorough responses provided on his application. Council Member Mueller explained that Mr. Downes was her neighbor and found him to be an extremely intelligent individual. She was thrilled that he came forward to volunteer for this position.
