Mounds View City Council May 11, 2015 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br /> <br />investigation. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:15 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8407, to <br />Consider an On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for The Mermaid located at 2200 County Road <br />10, contingent upon a satisfactory criminal background investigation. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. Resolution 8408, to Consider an On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for <br />El Loro located at 2535 County Road 10. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane stated in accordance with City Code, a public hearing was <br />required when considering the renewal of an on-sale intoxicating liquor license. She explained <br />that El Loro was requesting a liquor license renewal and has submitted all necessary paperwork <br />and fees. She reported that staff has conducted the required inspections and was waiting on the <br />background investigation. She noted that all property taxes and utility bills were paid in full. <br />Staff recommended the Council hold a public hearing and approve the on-sale intoxicating liquor <br />license for El Loro, contingent upon a satisfactory criminal background investigation. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:17 p.m. <br /> <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:17 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8408, <br />to Consider an On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for El Loro located at 2535 County Road 10, <br />contingent on a satisfactory criminal background investigation. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />B. Public Hearings – Off-Sale Intoxicating Liquor Licenses: <br />1. Resolution 8410, to Consider an Off-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for <br />ABC Liquor located at 2840 County Road 10. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane stated ABC Liquor has not submitted the necessary <br />paperwork for the Council to consider their off-sale intoxicating liquor license renewal. Staff <br />recommended that the Council continue the public hearing for this matter to the Tuesday, May <br />26, 2015 City Council meeting and authorize staff to assess a 20% late fee per the 2015 Fee <br />Schedule. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:19 p.m. <br />
