Mounds View City Council October 12, 2015 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty reported fall cleanup in the City of Mounds View would be held on Saturday, <br />October 17, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Additional information regarding this event was <br />available on the City’s website. <br /> <br /> B. Reports of Staff. <br />1. Update on ABC Liquor – Off-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane explained on September 28, 2015, the Council approved a <br />transfer of ownership for ABC Liquor. Staff has since learned that the purchase of the property <br />has fallen apart and as a matter of record, it should be known that ABC Liquor would continue to <br />be owned by Mende, Inc. <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer reported cameras were being installed on the water treatment plant and at <br />Silver View Park. <br /> <br />2. Other Updates from Staff <br /> <br />Public Works Director Erickson provided comment on the pavement that would be installed yet <br />this fall near Groveland Road and Ardan. He anticipated that the wear course on Knollwood <br />would be completed early next spring. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty questioned when the mounds of sand would be removed. Public Works Director <br />Erickson expected that the sand would be removed by the end of this week. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Erickson was pleased to report that the City would be receiving <br />approximately $500,000 in MSA funding in 2016. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ericson reported he met with the Community Center staff to discuss the <br />recent renovations. He believed the work completed was well done. He indicated the YMCA <br />would be focusing its efforts towards youth and teen sports programming. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ericson explained Planning Associate Heidi Heller has submitted her letter of <br />resignation and has accepted a position with another community. His recommendation to the <br />Council would be to refill the position after the job position was revised. He discussed how <br />existing staff would be absorbing Ms. Heller’s work duties until a new candidate could be hired. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty wished Ms. Heller well in the future and thanked her for her dedicated service to <br />the City of Mounds View. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ericson discussed the details involved in a developer’s agreement with the <br />Beard Group for the Crossroad Pointe redevelopment. He noted the agreement was being <br />reviewed by the City Attorney and anticipated it would be reviewed further by the Council on <br />October 26 th . <br />
