Mounds View City Council October 26, 2015 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause thanked Planning Associate Heller and the Planning Commission <br />for their work on this item. He fully supported the proposed Ordinance amendment. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn appreciated the Ordinance update as well. She thanked Planning <br />Associate Heller for her dedicated service to the City of Mounds View and wished her well in her <br />new position. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty agreed and thanked her personally for all she has done for the residents of <br />Mounds View. He wished her all the best at the City of Little Canada. The Council offered her a <br />round of applause. <br /> <br />Planning Associate Heller appreciated the Council’s kind words. She thanked the Council for <br />their friendship and support over the past 10 years. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />D. Resolution 8466, Approving Revisions to the Planning Associate Position <br />Description and Authorizing Advertisement of the Position of Planner. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ericson explained Planning Associate Heller’s last day with the City of <br />Mounds View would be Friday, October 30 th . He discussed the proposed hiring process and <br />timeline. Staff requested the Council approve revisions to the Planning Associate position <br />description and authorize the advertisement for the position of Planner. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller questioned who would be training in the new employee. City <br />Administrator Ericson reported he would take on this responsibility. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8466, <br />Approving Revisions to the Planning Associate Position Description and Authorizing <br />Advertisement of the Position of Planner. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause appreciated that the new Planner would be responsible for <br />comprehensive plan amendments and updates. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />E. Resolution 8470, Accepting the Work and Approving Final Payment for the <br />2015 Masonry Rehabilitation at 2MG Ground Reservoir, Well No. 2 and the <br />Booster Station Project to Cities Masonry Restoration, Inc. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Erickson requested the Council accept the work and approve the final <br />payment for the 2015 Masonry Rehabilitation Project for the work completed on the 2MG <br />Ground Reservoir, Well No. 2 and the Booster Station. He indicated the work was completed by <br />Cities Masonry Restoration, Inc.
