Mounds View City Council July 10, 2017 <br />Regular Meeting Page 7 <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller thanked Ms. Cermak for her years of dedicated service to the City of Mounds <br />View. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Bergeron. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8787, <br />Approving the 2017 Festival in the Park of Mounds View Contract. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />D. Resolution 8774, Approving the 2017-19 Public Works Collective Bargaining <br />Agreement. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane requested the Council approve the 2017-19 Public Works <br />Collective Bargaining Agreement. She reviewed the highlights within the three-year contract in <br />detail with the Council and recommended approval. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller asked if the City would be responsible for retroactive pay back to January 1, <br />2017. Assistant City Administrator Crane stated this was correct. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Bergeron/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8774, <br />Approving the 2017-19 Public Works Collective Bargaining Agreement. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause thanked City Administrator Ericson for all of his hard work in <br />reaching this agreement. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller thanked City Administrator Ericson and the bargaining group for all of their <br />efforts on this contract. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />E. Resolution 8789, Approving the Hire of Jacob Martin to the Position of <br />Housing/Code Enforcement Inspector in the Community Development <br />Department. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane requested the Council approve the hire of Jacob Martin to the <br />position of Housing/Code Enforcement Inspector in the Community Development Department. <br />She stated at the May 22nd City Council meeting the Council authorized staff to advertise for the <br />position. Staff received 13 applications and interviewed five individuals. After holding the <br />interviews, the interview panel recommended the hire of Jacob Martin. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller asked how long Mr. Martin had worked as a housing inspector for the City of <br />Minneapolis. Assistant City Administrator Crane stated Mr. Martin had worked for Minneapolis <br />for the past two years and was now looking for new opportunities to grow. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn.
