Resolution 8687, Selection of the Acting Mayor, Treasurer, and Official <br />Depositories for 2017. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane requested the Council select an Acting Mayor, Treasurer, <br />Official Newspaper and Official Depository for 2017. It was noted the Sun Focus (primary) and <br />the Pioneer Press (secondary) has served as the City’s official newspaper in the past. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn stated she was willing to serve as the Acting Mayor. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To Appoint Council Member Sherry Gunn as Acting <br />Mayor for 2017. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause recommended the Sun Focus remain the City’s primary newspaper. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn. To Recommend the Sun Focus be selected as the <br />City’s primary newspaper. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8687, Selection <br />of the Acting Mayor, Treasurer, and Official Depositories for 2017. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />B. Resolution 8688, Appointing City Council Members and City Staff as <br />Representatives for City Commissions and Other Organizations. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane stated the Council appoints members and staff as <br />representatives for City Commissions and other organizations on a yearly basis. She reviewed <br />the appointments and requested input from the City Council. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller reported she was willing to continue to serve on the Ramsey County League of <br />Local Government. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn stated she would act as the representative for the Blaine/Mounds View <br />Spring Lake Park Fire Board. <br /> <br />Council Member Hull and Council Member Meehlhause would both serve on the Human <br />Resources Committee. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause indicated he could continue as the representative for the Minnesota <br />North Metro Tourism Board.
