Mounds View City Council January 3, 2017 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause was willing to serve as the YMCA Advisory Committee <br />representative with Council Member Hull acting as the alternate. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated she would need a volunteer to serve as the NSCC/NSAC representative. <br />Council Member Gunn volunteered for this position. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause indicated he would continue to act as the Council Liaison to the <br />City’s commissions and committees. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported he would serve as the Northeast Youth and Family <br />Services representative and Council Member Hull volunteered to be the alternate. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated she would be happy to take on the role as the League of Minnesota Cities <br />representative. The alternate position would be filled by Council Member Hull. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller explained she would assume the position for the North Metro Mayor’s <br />Association, noting City Administrator Ericson would also be attending. She requested Council <br />Member Gunn consider serving as the alternate. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause and Mayor Mueller were willing to continue on the North Metro <br />Business Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn indicated she would serve on the I-35W Coalition and Council Member <br />Hull would serve as the alternate. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller commented she would step up to serve as the representative for Metro Cities. <br /> <br />Council Member Hull stated he would serve on the Anoka County Fire Protection Board and <br />Council Member Gunn would serve as the alternate. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller summarized all of the appointments for the record and recommended the <br />assignments be reconsidered after the special election. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8688, <br />Appointing City Council Members and City Staff as Representatives for City Commissions and <br />Other Organizations. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />C. Resolution 8689, Approving Severance for Officer Jeffrey Martin, Mounds <br />View Police Department. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane stated Police Officer Jeffrey Martin submitted his letter of <br />resignation with the Mounds View Police Department effective December 15, 2016. She
