Set 2012 Economic Development Priorities <br /> The EDC reviewed their list of 2011 priorities and adjusted their 2012 priorities as follows: <br /> 1) Create a plan for using the EDA's unobligated Tax Increment Financing (TIF)within the <br /> City of Mounds View <br /> 2) Development/redevelopment along the County Rd 10 corridor <br /> • Potential name change for County Rd 10 <br /> • Premium Stop Redevelopment Area <br /> • Silver View Plaza <br /> • Complete remaining trailway connections to businesses <br /> • PAK/Simon's/City-Owned Lots <br /> • Johnson/Christmas Tree Lots <br /> • Coventry Senior Living <br /> • Improve the aesthetics of properties in the County Rd 10 corridor <br /> • Reconstruction of County Rd 10 <br /> 3) Monitor Mounds View commercial properties in transition <br /> 4) Monitor and assist with Citywide housing issues and projects <br /> 5) Meet bi-annually with the Mounds View EDA <br /> 6) Continue business retention program <br /> 7) Skyline Motel redevelopment <br /> 8) Support the implementation of the citywide Street & Utility Improvement Program <br /> 9) Monitor development plans for the TCAAP site in Arden Hills <br /> 10)Continue budgeting to implement the Mounds View Branding Project <br /> Motion/Second: Commissioner Meehlhause moved and Commissioner Belting seconded <br /> the approval of the 2012 Economic Development Priorities. <br /> Motion Carried: 7 Ayes, 0 Nays <br /> D. Revise Targeted Business List <br /> The EDC revised their targeted business list to reflect the following five business categories <br /> rather than specific types of business in order to focus on a diverse population and to draw <br /> people to the area: <br /> • Manufacturing <br /> • Retail <br /> • Professional Office/Services <br /> • Restaurants <br /> • Entertainment <br />
