CALL TO ORDER: <br /> <br /> Chairperson Greg Belting called the meeting to order at 7:35 a.m. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL: <br /> <br /> Members Present: Dr. Greg Belting, Jackie Entsminger, David Fox, Jason Helgemoe, Torri <br />Johnson, and Stan McDonald <br />Members Absent: None. <br /> <br />Staff Present: Economic Development Coordinator Aaron Backman <br />Others Present: None. <br /> <br /> <br />3. APPROVAL OF EDC MINUTES: <br /> <br />Motion/Second: No action taken on minutes. <br /> <br />4. SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> <br />No Special Business Scheduled. <br /> <br />5. REPORT OF COMMISSIONERS, STAFF AND EDA LIAISON <br /> <br />A. Commissioner Reports: None <br /> <br />B. Report of EDA Liaison: The new City Administrator Kurt Ulrich began working at the City in July. <br />Backman has discussed ongoing development projects with him and viewed Moundsview Square <br />with him. Mr. Ulrich may be able to attend some of the EDC meetings in the future. <br /> <br />C. TCN Chamber of Commerce Update: The Chamber’s Annual Meeting was held yesterday at <br />Majesty Oaks Clubhouse in Ham Lake. Backman discussed the new map that is being <br />developed by the Chamber. It will be the first one completed since the merger showing all five <br />member cities and adjacent areas. He expects that it will be completed this November. <br />Backman mentioned the upcoming TCAAP Stakeholder Meeting being sponsored by Rep. <br />McCollum that will be held on August 27, 2003. There will be a contingent of people from the <br />City of Mounds View attending the event. A main topic of discussion will be a proposed regional <br />postal facility, along with development and environmental issues. Helgemoe asked about any
