CALL TO ORDER: <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at approximately 7:45 a.m. by Vice-Chairperson <br />Rosemary Goff <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL: <br /> <br />Members present: Rosemary Goff, Tom Field, Sean Walther, Julie Olsen, Wendy <br />Marty, Jerry Kahn, EDA Liaison Lynn Thomason. <br />Members absent: Cindy Carlson <br /> Staff present: Economic Development Coordinator Kevin Carroll. <br /> <br />3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br /> <br />Motion/Second: Walther/Field to approve the minutes from April 22, 1999. <br /> <br />Motion Carried 6 Ayes 0 Nays <br /> <br />4. SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />5. EDC BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. ΑEconomic Development Potpourri≅ <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Kevin Carroll provided the EDC members with a <br />verbal update regarding: <br /> <br />1. the finalization of negotiations with Everest Development, the <br />execution of the Development Assistance Agreement, and the <br />commencement of construction of Building ΑN≅; <br />2. the grand opening of the new Wynnsong 15 movie theater on May 19, <br />1999; <br />3. recent legislation affecting, or potentially affecting, economic <br />development (EDC members were given copies of a summary prepared <br />by the Association of Metropolitan Municipalities); and
