Call to Order: <br /> <br /> The meeting was called to order at 8:05 a.m. by Chairperson Cindy Carlson. <br /> <br />2. Roll Call: <br /> <br /> Members Present: Cindy Carlson, Rosemary Goff, Sean Walther, and Julie Olsen. <br /> Members Absent: Tom Field, Jerold Kahn, Wendy Marty, and EDA Liaison Lynne Thomason. <br /> Staff Present: Economic Development Coordinator Kevin Carroll and Finance Director Bruce Kessel. <br /> <br />3. Approval Of Minutes: <br /> <br />No minutes were approved. <br /> <br />4. Special Business <br /> <br />Kevin Carroll provided the Economic Development Commission with an update regarding Highway 10 <br />signage and potential naming options. <br /> <br />5. EDC BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. Comprehensive Guide Plan – Economic Development Section <br /> <br />Chair Carlson indicated that a great deal of time has been spent on the Economic Development Section of <br />the Comprehensive Guide Plan, and stated that the document is now in its final form. Commissioner Olsen <br />expressed the following objections to the plan as presented: <br /> <br />1. The text below the bullet points in section 2 “Priorities for Economic Development” be removed. <br /> <br />After considering the issue, the following motion was presented: <br /> <br />Motion/Second: Goff/Walther moved to keep the “Priorities for Economic Development” section as <br />presented at the in the July 22, 1999 meeting. <br /> <br /> Motion Carried 3 ayes 1 nays (Olsen Dissenting) <br /> <br />2. Clarification was requested regarding the inclusion of components from the previously deleted section <br />“Financing Tools” into section 3 “Resources to Support Economic Development.” <br /> <br /> After considering the issue, the following motion was advanced: <br />
