Mounds View City Council October 23, 2017 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br /> <br /> <br />Public Works Director Peterson provided the Council with a construction update on the Public <br />Works Facility. <br /> <br />Police Chief Harder provided the Council with an update on the City’s portable speed bumps and <br />how the test trials have been going. <br /> <br />Interim City Administrator Zikmund stated the League of Minnesota Cities has a metro meeting <br />on Wednesday, November 29th. <br /> <br />Interim City Administrator Zikmund updated the Council on the Building Official position and <br />noted the City has received seven applications. <br /> <br />Interim City Administrator Zikmund reported he recently attended a meeting with the SBM Fire <br />Department where the 2018 Capital Budget was discussed by Chief Smith. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller discussed the upcoming election and encouraged residents to vote. She reviewed <br />the early voting process and noted this would take place from October 31 through November 6. <br />It was noted polls would also be open on Election Day, Tuesday November 7th at the Community <br />Center from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller commented on a recent edition of the Sun Focus. She noted all residents in <br />Mounds View could receive this local publication free of charge. <br /> <br />C.
