SAVE Program <br />SAVE Program has been operating smoothly. Our participants enjoying seeing the <br />familiar faces of Officers involved in the program while they are out and about. <br />Eleven new members were added in May! The relationship with this community <br />and the police has been growing closer and we very much look forward to the <br />continued bond. More education events are planned for the fall. <br />Heartsafe <br />On 5/10/17 the Police Department was invited in to the Adult Education Center <br />and trained 33 people on CPR and AED use. Members from the Survivors <br />Network of MN and SBM Fire Department assisted during this training. In lieu of <br />a video, officers, survivors, and fire personnel demonstrated CPR in acted out <br />scenarios in order to properly educate the learners. The training was challenging <br />and fun! This brings the city another step closer to our HeartSafe designation. <br />On 5/22/17, Brice Bloxham of Mounds View and Raquel Wittkowske of Blaine <br />were trained as team members for this program. They will be assisting in future <br />training events.
