RESOLUTION NO. 8843 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPOINTING MAGGIE HICKS TO POLICE SUPPORT SPECIALIST <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department has a vacancy in the Police <br />Support Specialist position due to a resignation; and <br />WHEREAS, this is a key position for the police department; and <br />WHEREAS, Maggie Hicks has been doing many of the duties of the Police <br />Support Specialist as a result of changes in policies and procedures and a new records <br />management system; and <br />WHEREAS, Maggie Hicks is the only eligible internal candidate to apply for this <br />position; and <br />WHEREAS, staff will be reviewing both the Support Specialist and Records <br />Technician position descriptions to reflect the changing duties within the department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Mounds View City Council appoints <br />Maggie Hicks to Police Support Specialist effective Monday October 9, 2017, at step 4 <br />$27.00 per hour from her current pay rate of $25.17 per hour, subject to a 6 months <br />probationary period and step 5 consideration in one year based on satisfactory <br />performance evaluation. <br />Adopted this 9th day of October, 2017. <br />Carol A.
