RESOLUTION 8844 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE HIRE OF KATHY BENDAR TO PROVIDE <br />ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ON A PART-TIME, TEMPORARY BASIS <br />WHEREAS, the City is presently short-staffed due to recent retirements and resignations; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, recently retired Kathy Bednar has indicated her availability to assist the City <br />during this time of staffing transition; and, <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Bednar would provide administrative support to the Police Department <br />on a temporary, part-time basis, not to exceed 40 hours worked per pay period; and, <br />WHEREAS, the hourly rate for this temporary position will be $25.17 with 8 hours of <br />personal leave accrued for every 240 hours worked; and <br />WHEREAS, aside from the personal leave noted above, this position would not qualify for <br />vacation leave, sick leave, holiday pay or health insurance benefits. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council approves <br />the hire of Kathy Bednar to provide administrative support to the police department on a part- <br />time, temporary basis at the rate of $25.17 per hour, not to exceed 40 hours per pay period, with <br />an anticipated start date of October 10, 2017, or shortly thereafter. <br />Adopted this 9th day of October, 2017. <br />Carol A.
