RESOLUTION NO. 8847 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING HIRING OF DON PETERSON <br />TO POSITION OF PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR <br />WHEREAS, The City of Mounds View has a vacancy in the Public Works Director <br />position; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Mounds View council discussed staffing/reorganization of <br />the Public Works Division at their October 3, 2017 work session, adopted an updated Job <br />Description at their October 9, 2017 council meeting; and <br />WHEREAS, Per the council direction an internal positing was done; and <br />WHEREAS, An interview panel met to review documents submitted and interview <br />candidates on October 16, 2017; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />approves the hiring of Don Peterson as the Public Works Director effective October 23, <br />2017 at 2017 Compensation Plan step 3 and be placed on a six month probation ending <br />April 20, 2018 and upon successful completion, move to Step 4 as detailed in the 2018 <br />compensation plan and step 5 one year after achieving step 4. <br />Adopted this 231d day of October, 2017. <br />Carol A.
