Officer Erickson and Niko received their custom made K-9 ballistic vest for Niko which was <br />donated by the non-profit group, Vested Interests in K -9's. This organization is a 501 C (3) all <br />volunteer charity whose mission is to provide bullet/stab protective vests for law enforcement <br />dogs throughout the United States. Funds were raised by Vested Interests in K -9's through a <br />Group On Grassroots campaign online. Each custom made vest costs $950.00. Niko will now <br />have the same level of protection as the officers. <br />Mid -august also saw another annual Festival in the Park celebration. The weather was <br />glorious making the parade, car show, fireworks and all other entertainment a huge success! <br />Our K-9 Unit provided an action packed demonstration that proved to be popular with the <br />crowd.
