Human Resources <br />• Conducts new employee orientation. <br />Maintains personnel files. <br />• Assists in developing, maintaining and <br />Prepares required OSHA information. <br />• Administers COBRA. <br />updating safety policies and/or manual. <br />Administrative Activities <br />• Maintains liquor and various business licenses and files. Ensures annual <br />renewals are completed as outlined and required by established ordinances. <br />• Administers codification activities of the City Code. <br />• Prepare and maintain SCORE recycling contract with Ramsey County, <br />reimbursement claims, and semi-annual tonnage reports. <br />• Coordinates City recycling programs and services including, annual Clean Up <br />Days, promotional literature and brochures. <br />PERIPHERAL DUTIES <br />• Serves as a member of the Safety Committee, Human Resources Committee <br />and other applicable committees. <br />Develops communication pieces for publication. <br />• Performs communication with internal and external customers regarding <br />licensing issues. <br />• Assists with other clerking duties. <br />• Other duties as assigned by City Administrator <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br />Education and Experience: <br />(A) Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in <br />human resources, public administration, business management or a closely <br />related field, <br />(B) Two years responsible experience in human resources and general <br />administrative activities. <br />(C) Word processing and spreadsheet skills. <br />NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />(A) Considerable knowledge of Federal and State Laws, rules and regulations <br />pertaining to public sector employment; <br />(B) Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of the field of human <br />resources including employee classification, compensation, benefits, recruitment, <br />selection, training, and labor-management relations; <br />NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (continued) <br />(C) Working knowledge of risk management and safety practices; <br />
