Fire Contract and JPA Amendments Report <br />December 9, 2013 <br />Page 2 <br />Changes are also proposed to `clean up" the mutual aid language in the contract as a <br />result of recent state statutory change which provides the necessary liability provisions <br />statewide for any mutual aid response. <br />Fire Board: <br />At their October 24, 2013 meeting, the Board of Directors of the fire department adopted a <br />motion to authorize President Tim Hill to sign the amendment conditional upon all three <br />cities also executing a similar action. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends the City Council approve Resolution 8183 which authorizes the noted <br />changes to the Fire Contract and the Joint Powers Agreement. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />James Ericson <br />City Administrator <br />Attachments: <br />1.
