RESOLUTION NO. 8182 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVAL OF THE COMPUTER AIDED DISPATCH (CAD) AND MOBILE DATA <br />AGREEMENT WITH RAMSEY COUNTY <br />WHEREAS, the CAD system is a combination of the hardware, software and <br />other services the Ramsey County Communications Center utilizes to provide <br />dispatching and communications service to individual cities throughout Ramsey County; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, all public safety agencies in Ramsey County currently use a <br />computer aided dispatch (CAD) system; and, <br />WHEREAS, the current CAD system has become outdated and unable to meet the <br />technological needs of Ramsey County and the participating cities; and, <br />WHEREAS, a new CAD system, offered by TriTech Systems, was selected by <br />Ramsey County and will be implemented in 2015; and, <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County has drafted a CAD and Mobile Data agreement <br />with the City of Mounds View for a term beginning January 1, 2014 until December 31, <br />2016. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota to approve the CAD and Mobile Data <br />Agreement between Ramsey County and the City of Mounds View for the period of <br />January 1, 2014 until December 31, 2016 with the agreement automatically renewing <br />for 1 year periods up to a maximum of 10 renewal periods. <br />Adopted this 9th day of December 2013. <br />Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />James Ericson, City Administrator <br />(seal) <br />
