DRAFT POSITION DESCRIPTION <br />functions. <br />Work is performed in both office and field settings. Hand -eye coordination is necessary to <br />operate drafting instruments, computers, and various pieces of office equipment including <br />plotter, light table, blueprint machine, copier, etc. Field work includes sufficient mobility to <br />navigate natural terrain and construction sites, which may include rough ground. Visual acuity <br />sufficient to evaluate field conditions, construction practices and work done, and plans and <br />drawings is necessary, as is the ability to communicate orally in person and over the telephone. <br />Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth <br />perception, and the ability to adjust focus. <br />While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, talk and <br />hear, use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands <br />and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. <br />The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs while doing field work. <br />WORK ENVIRONMENT <br />The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee <br />encounters while performing the essential functions and physical demands of this job. <br />Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the <br />essential functions. <br />While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in both office and field settings. <br />When in the field, the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions, experiencing <br />exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airorne particles, toxic or custic tithe work environmentas usually chemicals, <br />risk of electrical shock and vibration.
