RESOLUTION NO. 8871 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />Adopting the 2018 Property Tax Levy <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted numerous meetings and has made available detailed copies <br />of the proposed 2018 Budget; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council provided the public an opportunity to speak at the Truth in Taxation meeting <br />on December 4, 2017 to take comment on the proposed 2018 tax levy; and <br />WHEREAS, when the Fire Improvement Bonds of 2013 were issued, the debt service was scheduled to <br />be $97,953, however due to changes in the allocation of costs between participating cities, Mounds <br />View's actual 2018 cost on said bonds will be $99,177. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View that the following <br />property tax levy for 2018 is hereby approved: <br />General Fund base levy <br />$ 4,025,429 <br />Fire Bonds of 2013 levy <br />99,177 <br />PERA rate increase levy <br />39,145 <br />Police Referendum market value levy 2017 <br />85,200 <br />Police Referendum market value levy 2004 <br />210,000 <br />Total General Fund property tax levy <br />$ 4,458,951 <br />2017 Capital Improvement Bonds Debt Service $ 415,034 <br />Total Property Tax Levy $ 4.873.985 <br />and the City Administrator is hereby directed to notify Ramsey County and the State of Minnesota of said <br />2018 property tax levy. <br />Said resolution was declared to have been duly passed and adopted this 11th day of December, 2017. <br />Carol A.
