Under the program, a producer demonstrating the implementation of best management practices to protect water quality receives a 10 -year certification and will be regarded as meeting any new targeted reductions and water quality regulations that occur in those 10 years. Coordinated the operational aspects of the MAWQCP since the rollout of the pilot phase in 2013. Work directly with the many program partners, including the soil and water districts, the technical service areas, state agencies and industry. CEO, MIDWEST ASSISTANCE PROGRAM, NEW PRAGUE, MINNESOTA 2010-2013 Midwest Assistance Program, Inc. (MAP) supports rural communities and tribal nations to find solutions to water and wastewater infrastructure and development needs through information, resource management, expertise and technical assistance in nine Midwestern states including Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Focus of the CEO was on board development and governance, updating organization's policies and procedures, stabilizing the financial condition of the organization, working closely with the staff, dispersed throughout nine states, to strengthen team cohesion. Additionally, giving attention to partnerships with other community development organizations, advocacy at the federal level, and leadership in the national network, Rural Community Assistance Partnership. Traveled extensively throughout the region, viewing projects and visiting with communities. DIRECTOR OF CONSTITUENT RELATIONS, THE RURAL POLICY RESEARCH INSTITUTE, UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI, COLUMBIA 2004-2010 The Rural Policy Research Institute provides objective analysis and facilitates public dialogue concerning the impact of public policy on rural people and places. Major responsibilities were convening national rural organizations, including public, non-profit, philanthropic, private and education sectors. Worked closely with the Congressional Members and staff as well the Administration, tracking of rural legislation, and providing information and data on the rural condition. Participated in numerous conferences often as a presenter/speaker. Assisted with the RUPRI international portfolio, specifically with Canada, the European Union and OECD. Served as the Interim Director of the Rural Community College Alliance, a college/RUPRI partnership, from 2005 to 2010.
