Mounds View is <br />required to submit a Plan update to the Metropolitan Council by December 31, 2018, following <br />certain criteria. <br />The City has contracted with Stantec to complete required mapping. Due to Staff's time <br />constraints, additional assistance is needed from Stantec to write the Plan and complete the <br />water plan updates. <br />Discussion: <br />Stantec's proposal is in two parts; <br />$44,716 Comprehensive Plan <br />$46,000 Water Plan Updates and Surface Water Management Plan <br />$90,716 TOTAL <br />Work is proposed to be completed at an hourly rate, not to exceed the stated amounts. It is <br />Staff's belief that these costs can be reduced by Staff writing significant parts of the Plan. <br />Stantec's proposal is to complete a Plan that meets the minimum requirements of the <br />Metropolitan Council. However, it is likely that the Comprehensive Plan Taskforce will want to <br />investigate topics that go beyond these minimum requirements, thus, any cost savings may be <br />offset by additional work. <br />This item was briefly discussed during the Council's December 4, 2017 Work Session.
