Mounds View City Council February 12, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br /> <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn stated over time certain Ordinances require amendments due to changes <br />in State Statute and noted this was the case with this Ordinance. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Amended Motion carried. <br /> <br />C. Resolution 8901 Approving Transfers between Funds for 2017. <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer requested the Council approve transfers between funds for 2017. He <br />stated this was one of the last financial requirements to close out reports for last year. He <br />recommended the transfer to the Special Projects Fund be increased from $75,000 to $275,000. <br />In addition, he recommended the transfer from the General Fund to the Vehicle and Equipment <br />Fund be increased. Lastly, he recommended changes to the fitness center be supported through <br />an additional $15,000 in funds. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8901 <br />Approving Transfers between Funds for 2017. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />D. Resolution 8909 Approving the New Job Description for the Parks <br />Maintenance/Forester Position. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council approve the new job description for the <br />Parks Maintenance/Forester Position. He explained this was the last piece of the restructuring of <br />the Public Works Department which began last fall. He indicated he spoke to neighboring <br />communities regarding their job descriptions in order to create the new job description. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8909 <br />Approving the New Job Description for the Parks Maintenance/Forester Position. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />E. Resolution 8904 Authorizing Stantec Consulting Services Inc. to Complete <br />Plans and Specifications for the Business Park North Street Reconstruction <br />(Program Avenue, Quincy Street, Woodale Drive, Clifton Drive). <br /> <br />Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council authorize Stantec to complete plans and <br />specifications for the Business Park North Street Reconstruction project which included Program <br />Avenue, Quincy Street, Woodale Drive and Clifton Drive. He reviewed the project timeline for <br />the Business Park North project in further detail and recommended the Council authorize Stantec <br />to complete the plans and specs. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull.
