Mounds View Planning Commission <br />Regular Meeting <br />January 8, 2014 <br />Page 3 <br />Associate Heller reviewed the Council's brainstorming session from a recent work session <br />meeting regarding Mounds View's priorities and goals for the site. Strengths and weaknesses for <br />the City and the site were discussed in detail. She commented a consultant was working with <br />Council and staff. This consultant would be taking the comments from the recent work session <br />meeting and would be drawing up plans for the Council to review in the future. She reported the <br />City would be holding an Open House for the public to review these plans in the near future. <br />Commissioner Carvelli-Yu encouraged staff to notify commercial bankers regarding the <br />potential development options for this property. <br />Commissioner Love suggested public comments be gathered at the proposed Open House, for <br />Council consideration. <br />Associate Heller agreed it would be important to gather public input. <br />8. Upcoming Planning Cases <br />Planning Associate Heller discussed upcoming planning cases. She reviewed the progress being <br />made on the Coventry Senior Living project. She discussed the changes the Mounds View <br />School District was proposing to meet the all -day kindergarten needs. The school district would <br />be occupying a portion of Silver View Plaza for adult education and the vacant office building <br />next to the movie theater. <br />11.
