Mounds View City Council March 26, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 8 <br /> <br />local tourism bureau was quite healthy in the north metro. He noted Steve Markuson has agreed <br />to serve as the Executive Director for one more year. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller reported the Comprehensive Taskforce Committee would be meeting on <br />Tuesday, March 27th at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated she would be attending the Ramsey County League of Local Government <br />meeting on Thursday, April 12th. She noted she would be attending the Minnesota Women in <br />Local Government meeting on Friday, April 13th and on Wednesday, April 18th she would be <br />attending the CTV Appreciation Dinner. Lastly, she stated she would also be attending the <br />Metro Cities Annual Meeting on Thursday, April 19th in St. Paul. <br /> <br /> B. Reports of Staff. <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer reported the 2017 audit was nearly complete and noted the Council would <br />receive an update on this process at their second meeting in April. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Peterson provided the Council with a public service announcement on <br />flushable wipes. He explained flushable wipes were responsible for breaking the City’s grinder. <br />He indicated staff caught the problem prior to there being any backups in the system. He <br />discussed the amount of time staff has spent trying to remedy this situation. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller encouraged staff to send out further public service announcements regarding this <br />concern. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund discussed the items that would be discussed by the Council at their <br />April worksession meeting. <br /> <br />C. Reports of City Attorney. <br /> <br />There was nothing additional to report. <br /> <br />10. Next Council Work Session: Monday, April 2, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. <br />Next Council Meeting: Monday, April 9, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />11.
