Resolution 8939, Adopting a Calendar for the Preparation of the 2019 <br />Budget. <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer requested the Council adopt a calendar for the preparation of the 2019 <br />budget. He reviewed the important dates for upcoming events regarding the 2019 budget. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8939, <br />Adopting a Calendar for the Preparation of the 2019 Budget. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller noted the Council would be holding a Budget and Long-Range Planning Retreat <br />on Monday, April 16th. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />E. Updating City Code – City Administrator Report. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund reported staff was reviewing the City Code in order to find sections <br />or areas in need of updates. He commented on several changes being proposed within the code <br />and asked how many copies of City Code staff should have on hand. Staff also requested <br />feedback on how administrative fees should be set. <br /> <br />Council consensus was to have two copies of the City Code on file with one copy at City Hall <br />and the second copy at the Public Works building. The Council recommended administrative <br />fees defer to State Statute. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller thanked staff for bringing this item before the City Council. She appreciated the <br />fact that the City was taking a proactive approach to updating City Code. <br /> <br />F. Resolution 8937, Approve the Hiring of Jacob Garibay to the Position of <br />Geographic Information Systems Technician. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve the hire of Jacob Garibay to the <br />position of Geographic Information Systems Technician. He explained 26 candidates applied for <br />this position and seven individuals were interviewed. He noted a second interview was held with <br />Mr. Garibay and confirmed the recommendation that he be hired.
