Mounds View City Council April 9, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br /> <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8937, <br />Approve the Hiring of Jacob Garibay to the Position of Geographic Information Systems <br />Technician. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />G. Resolution 8938, Approving the Purchase of an Additional Watchguard <br />Camera System. <br /> <br />Police Chief Harder requested the Council approve the purchase of an additional Watchguard <br />camera system. He explained this system would be used in a new squad car being purchased by <br />the City. It was noted the expense of the unit was $5,500. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller asked if all of the City’s squad cars had cameras. Police Chief Harder reported <br />this was the case. He commented further on the benefits of the Watchguard camera system. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Bergeron. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8938, <br />Approving the Purchase of an Additional Watchguard Camera System. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Bergeron stated he attended the recent North Suburban Cable Commission <br />meeting. He noted this group discussed the reduction of hours available to cities from 100 to 50. <br />He indicated there would now be a charge for the use of mobile facilities. He commented on <br />Wednesday, April 18th he would be attending the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner at the Mermaid <br />that would be sponsored by the North Suburban Cable Commission. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reviewed his upcoming meeting schedule. He stated on Thursday, <br />April 12th he would attending an NYFS Executive Committee meeting. He indicated on <br />Wednesday, April 18th he would be attending an NYFS HR meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause thanked all of the residents of Mounds View that came out to <br />Texas Roadhouse last Tuesday to support the Mounds View Police Foundation. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated she would be attending a Ramsey County League of Local Government <br />meeting on Thursday, April 12th. She noted on Friday, April 13th she would be attending a <br />Minnesota Women in Government meeting. She commented on Thursday, April 19th she would <br />be attending a League of Minnesota Cities Workshop on Safety and Loss Control in Brooklyn <br />Park. She commented on Thursday, April 19th she would also be attending the Metro Cities <br />Annual Meeting. <br />
