The following will serve as a confirmation of <br />our conversation regarding terms and conditions of employment and compensation issues. <br />Start Date: You will begin employment with the City of Mounds View on <br />August 9, 1999. <br />Salary/Performance <br />Evaluation; You will have a beginning salary of $62,000 annually. A <br />performance evaluation will be conducted at the end of six <br />months of employment, 12 months of employment, and <br />annually, thereafter. Future adjnsbments to salary will be made <br />at the same time as salary increases are provided to other <br />Department Heads. All salary adjustments are subject to a <br />satisfactory performance evaluation. <br />Pension/Re irement: You are currently a participant in the Public Employees <br />Retirement Fund. Xt is your desire to continue participation in <br />that plan. You are also eligible to participate in any of the <br />City's approved deferred compensation plans. <br />Terms and Conditions <br />of Employment: You will serve at the will of the City Administrator and the City <br />Council and be subject to termination for just cause. Should <br />they decide to exercise that right, time City must give you at <br />least three months advance notice. A separation payment equal <br />to three months pay will be provided to you if the contract is <br />terminated. This does not preclude the rights of the City <br />Council to terminate immediately if you are convicted of a <br />felony or are found guilty of malfeasance, nonfeasance, or <br />misfeasance while in office.
