EXPENSE ACCOUNTS <br />Meals <br />The cost of a reasonable served meal in connection with any function at which an <br />employee's attendance is required by the Branch Executive will be reimbursed by <br />the YMCA. Employees are expected to use good judgment with regard to the cost <br />of meals. <br />Parking <br />When YMCA staff are on YMCA business away from the employing branch and park at <br />a street meter or in a parking lot, they may be reimbursed by the branch for <br />parking costs. If YMCA staff receive a parking ticket or traffic fine while on <br />YMCA business, such tickets/fines are a personal expense. <br />Automobile Expense <br />A per -mile automobile expense reimbursement shall be provided to employees who <br />are expected to use their personal automobiles for work-related travel (but not <br />for transportation to and from work). The amount shall be equal to the <br />federally -established guideline. A log showing odometer readings must be <br />maintained in order to receive reimbursement. <br />CONDITIONS ON THE JOB <br />Hours of Work <br />Immediate supervisors are responsible for the work schedules of the employees <br />they supervise. All such schedules will be governed by applicable laws and <br />needs of the YMCA. <br />Payroll Records <br />Payroll and time records of all employees will be maintained to meet reporting <br />requirements of applicable federal and state regulations and insurance <br />underwriters. Both the employee and supervisor are held accountable for the <br />accuracy of time records which reflect the exact hours and days actually worked. <br />Employee orientation <br />Within one month of employment, all employees are required to attend a new <br />employee orientation program which provides an introduction to the YMCA. <br />Relief and Meal Breaks <br />Employees are allowed paid relief breaks of short duration, running from 5 <br />minutes to about 15 minutes, within each 4 consecutive hours worked. <br />Employees who work a continuous six -hour shift will be provided with a 30 minute <br />unpaid meal break. <br />- 8 - <br />
