Full-time non-exempt employees who are requested to work on a holiday will be <br />given compensatory time off within the same week. <br />Paid holidays time is not time worked and is not counted in the computation of <br />hours worked in computing overtime. <br />Revised 1/97 <br />Holidays & Paid Time Off Policy for Part -Time Employees Designated <br />to Work between 20 and 34 Hours Per Week, 52 Weeks a Year <br />Based on the average number of hours worked per week, three paid holidays and <br />three Paid Time Off (PTO) days will be awarded to those employees who the YMCA <br />has designated as part-time hourly employees who are regularly -scheduled to work <br />between 20 and 34 hours per week, 52 weeks a year. <br />Holidays <br />The following holidays are observed for such employees: <br />Labor Day...................First Monday in September <br />Thanksgiving Day ............ Fourth Thursday in November <br />Christmas Day...............December 25 <br />If Christmas Day falls on a Sunday, the following day shall be observed. If it <br />falls on a Saturday, the preceding day shall be observed. <br />Designated part-time hourly employees who are requested to work on a holiday <br />will be given compensatory time off within the same week. <br />Paid Time Off <br />PTO days provide an employee with a monthly accrual of hours to be used as paid <br />time off for vacation, illness or injury, family illness, personal preference of <br />holidays and/or personal business. <br />A monthly accrual is credited at the completion of each complete calendar month <br />of active employment. An employee must be employed by the YMCA at both the <br />beginning and the end of the month in order to receive an accrual for the <br />month Monthly accruals for new employees begin upon completion of the first <br />complete calendar month. To determine accrual start dates, please refer to the <br />following example: <br />Hire Date Accrual Begins <br />June 1 June 1 <br />June 2-30 July 1 <br />Accrual. Credited <br />1st Paycheck in July <br />1st paycheck in August <br />- 14 - <br />
