The contractor forwarded the additional costs and the corrected base bid was now <br />$184,350.00, Alternate 1 is now at $17,550.00 and the cost per cubic yard remained at <br />$25.00 per cubic yard. <br />With the changes of the bid, Public Works Staff was not comfortable with moving forward <br />and discussed the situation with the City Administrator, Finance Director and the City <br />Attorney. <br />The consensus is that the City Council should reject the submitted bid and authorize re - <br />advertisement for this project. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff along with the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission, is recommending the <br />City Council reject the bid from Omann Contracting Companies Inc. for the rehabilitation <br />of the Greenfield and Groveland Park, tennis and basketball courts and authorize re - <br />advertisement for the project. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Don Peterson, Public Works Director <br />
