RESOLUTION NO. 8967 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING HIRING OF ANDREW NELSON <br />TO THE POSITION OF PARKS MAINTENANCE / FORESTER <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View posted for a Park Maintenance / Forester; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View posted for the position on its web page, the <br />League of Minnesota Cities web page, and the American Public Works Association <br />(APWA); and <br />WHEREAS, eight (8) applications were received, scored, and five (5) interviews <br />were conducted, and <br />WHEREAS, an interview panel comprised of the Public Works Director, Public <br />Works Parks Lead, Public Works Administrative Assistant, and Human Resources <br />Coordinator, conducted interviews on April 11th. At the end of the interviews, engaged <br />in discussion and came to a conclusion for a recommendation to hire Andrew Nelson, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Nelson has a Bachelor Degree in Conservation Biology, and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Nelson has over nine (9) years' experience working in the <br />Natural Resource and Parks Departments for Anoka County. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />approves the hiring of Andrew Nelson to the position of Parks Maintenance / Forester <br />starting on or about May 29, 2018 at Level A of the 2018 Compensation plan and upon <br />successful completion of a one (1) year probation, advance to Level B. <br />2018 Level A <br />Level B <br />Level C <br />$27.88 <br />$29.43 <br />$30.98 <br />2019 Level A <br />Level B <br />Level C <br />$28.72 <br />$30.31 <br />$31.91 <br />Adopted this 14th Day of May, 2018 <br />Carol A.
