Approval of Minutes: April 23, 2018 <br />Council Member Gunn requested a change to the April 23rd minutes on Page 4, Line 7 noting this <br />line should read Sound of Music. <br />Mayor Mueller commented she had a correction to the minutes on Page 2, Line 21 stating this <br />line should read Mounds View High Schools. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Approve the April 23, 2018 Minutes as amended. <br />Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />6. PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Brian Amundsen, 3048 Woodale Drive, stated he has heard a rumor that the Council was <br />considering cutting back on the video presentations for all of its Commission meetings. He <br />encouraged the Council to continue with the Planning Commission, Charter Commission, City <br />Council and City Council Worksession meetings. He explained this was a community outreach <br />item that should be continued as it keeps the City and its residents connected. <br />7. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS <br />A. Proclamation for Public Works Week. <br />Mayor Mueller read a proclamation in full for the record declaring May 20 to May 26, 2018 to be <br />Public Works Week in the City of Mounds View. <br />B. Proclamation for Police Officer Week. <br />Council Member Gunn read a proclamation in full for the record declaring May 13 to May 19, <br />2018 to be National Police Week in the City of Mounds View and noted May 15th would be <br />designated as Peace Officers Memorial Day. <br />C. Proclamation for EMS Week. <br />Mayor Mueller read a proclamation in full for the record declaring May 20 through May 26, 2018 <br />to be Emergency Medical Services Week in the City of Mounds View. <br />Brent Baker, Allina EMS Supervisor, thanked the Council for offering this proclamation which <br />recognizes EMS members in the community. He discussed the services Allina provided <br />throughout the State of Minnesota, noting Allina responds to over 1,200 calls in Mounds View <br />each year. <br />Joan , Allina, stated she was looking forward to working with the City of Mounds <br />View. <br />
