<br /> <br />Rezoning Report - 2408 County Road I <br />January 25, 2016 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />Summary <br /> <br />For the City Council to approve the requested rezoning, it must find that the request would <br />not be inconsistent with the Comprehensive Plan, would not depreciate or tend to cause or <br />create adverse impacts to the surrounding properties, would not be incompatible with other <br />uses in the geographical area and find that there is a sufficient, demonstrated need for the <br />uses in the requested district. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Based on the recommendation made by the Planning Commission, staff has drafted <br />Ordinance 912, an ordinance approving the rezoning of the property located at 2408 <br />County Road I from B-1, Neighborhood Business, to B-2, Limited Business. If the City <br />Council believes the rezoning request is appropriate, the following motion of approval may <br />be considered: <br /> <br />“Move approval of the second reading and adoption of Ordinance 912, incorporating by <br />reference the Planning Commission’s findings of fact, waive the reading, and publish the <br />ordinance summary in the newspaper as provided.” <br /> <br />If the City Council does not believe that that rezoning is appropriate or that it fails to satisfy <br />the criteria as noted, Ordinance 912 can be denied so long as alternative findings of fact <br />are communicated in support of the denial. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />________________________ <br />James Ericson <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />Attachments: <br /> <br />1.
