the construction contract, Ramsey County will seek the City’s concurrence. The current <br />Street Improvement (Fund 485) budget includes an amount of $125,000 for this; however, <br />there is additional funding in that budget available that can be used for completing this <br />project. <br /> <br />UPDATE: <br />Staff has discussed the costs for the signal as well as the design and construction <br />engineering fees with Ramsey County. As a result Ramsey County has reviewed their costs <br />on previous projects and is proposing reduction in the design engineering fees from 12% to <br />8% of the estimate. This results in a cost reduction of approximately $8,300 from using 12% <br />for design fees. Thus total cost based on the lowest bid is $201,115.86. An updated cost <br />share agreement is being drafted and once completed will be provided to the City. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve the attached Cost Share Agreement with <br />Ramsey County. <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Brian L.
