RESOLUTION 8545 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA APPROVE MNDOT MAINTEN ANCE AGREEMENT FOR MINOR MAINTENANCE WHEREAS, Ramsey County will reconstruct the County Road H bridge over I-35W ; and WHEREAS, the County Road H bridge reconstruction required Ramsey County to do a noise analysis of the corridor; and WHEREAS, this analysis resulted in the need to reconstruct the noise wall along the west side of I-35W ; and, WHEREAS, with the noise wall reconstruction there exists a need for routine and ongoing maintenance on the west (or back) side of the wall; and, WHEREAS, MnDOT has prepared an agreement which requires the City of Mounds View to provide minor maintenance on the back side of the wall; and WHEREAS, MnDOT will perform any major maintenance and repair to the wall. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. Approves the MnDOT Maintenance Agreement for minor maintenance on the back side of the noise wall along and adjacent to I-35W . 2. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the City, to execute and enter into said Maintenance Agreement with MnDOT for minor maintenance on the back side of the noise wall along and adjacent to I-35W . 3. The Director of Public Works is directed to execute the required maintenance on an as needed basis. 4. The Mayor and City Administrator and staff are hereby authorized and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
