COUNCIL BUSINESS 4 <br />A. 7:00 p.m. Public Hearing: Resolution 9506, Reapproving a Conditional Use 5 <br />Permit for DellComm, located at 4860 Mustang Circle, to Erect a 150-Foot 6 <br />Cell Tower. 7 <br /> 8 <br />City Administrator Ericson stated DellComm was requesting reapproval of a Conditional Use 9 <br />Permit to erect a 150-foot cell tower at 4860 Mustang Circle. He noted the cell tower on their 10 <br />property would be used for training purposes and for leasing out to local companies. He 11 <br />discussed why action on the original Conditional Use Permit was delayed and recommended 12 <br />approval of the request. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Acting Mayor Mueller opened the public hearing at 7:18 p.m. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Hearing no public input, Acting Mayor Mueller closed the public hearing at 7:18 p.m. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Jim Freichels, owner of DellComm at 4860 Mustang Circle, understood his Conditional Use 19 <br />Permit process has gone on for some time. He explained there were a lot of hoops he needed to 20 <br />jump through with the Federal government in order to erect the tower and use it for training 21 <br />purposes. He provided further comment on the processes he had to go through with the DNR 22 <br />and Native American tribes. He was pleased to report that after seven months of digging on the 23 <br />site, he was now able to move forward. He thanked the City for working with him through this 24 <br />entire process. 25 <br /> 26 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9506, 27 <br />Reapproving a Conditional Use Permit for DellComm, located at 4860 Mustang Circle, to Erect a 28 <br />150-Foot Cell Tower. 29 <br /> 30 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 31 <br /> 32 <br />B. Resolution 8515, Appointing Gordy and Paul Fedor as the 2015 Mounds 33 <br />View Citizen of the Year. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane requested the Council appoint Gordy and Paul Fedor as the 36 <br />2015 Mounds View Citizens of the Year. She noted the gentlemen will receive their award at the 37 <br />March 21, 2016 Town Hall meeting. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Acting Mayor Mueller fully supported the nomination. 40 <br /> 41 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8515, 42 <br />Appointing Gordy and Paul Fedor as the 2015 Mounds View Citizens of the Year. 43 <br /> 44 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 45
