Mounds View City Council March 14, 2016 <br />Regular Meeting Page 9 <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller stated the Minnesota Women in Government had an open nomination 1 <br />period through March 31st for Outstanding Elected and Appointed Women in Minnesota 2 <br />Government. Selected women would receive awards at the League of Minnesota Cities 3 <br />Conference in June. 4 <br /> 5 <br />Council Member Hull reported he attended the recent CPY luncheon. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Council Member Mueller encouraged those interested in volunteer on the Chamber Commission 8 <br />to contact City Hall for further information. 9 <br /> 10 <br /> B. Reports of Staff. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Public Works Director Erickson provided the Council with an update on the solar panels at City 13 <br />Hall. He commented on the recent meeting he held with Trane representatives. He anticipated 14 <br />the solar panels would be installed by the end of the month. 15 <br /> 16 <br />City Administrator Ericson stated he attended the Airport Advisory Committee meeting last 17 <br />week. The airport staff indicated operations are up for the last three months, which has been 18 <br />attributed to good weather and lower fuel costs. This has led to an increase in noise complaints 19 <br />and staff was tracking this trend. He reported there was no plan in the foreseeable future to 20 <br />extend the runways. 21 <br /> 22 <br />City Administrator Ericson indicated the Planning Commission would be meeting on 23 <br />Wednesday, March 16th. 24 <br /> 25 <br />City Administrator Ericson stated he had invited a member from Allina to attend the April 26 <br />worksession meeting to provide more information on how Mounds View can become a Heart 27 <br />Safe Community. 28 <br /> 29 <br />C. Reports of City Attorney. 30 <br /> 31 <br />City Attorney Riggs provided an update on the park trail easement situation. 32 <br /> 33 <br />12.
